Cedar Point
Cedar Point has been on my radar for many years. it is a 364-acre amusement park situated on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio. Opened in 1870, it is the second-oldest continuously operating amusement park in North America and widely celebrated among thrill-seekers as the "Roller Coaster Capital of the World." I can honestly say it rivals Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California.
The park is famous for pushing engineering boundaries, featuring a lineup of world-class coasters including Steel Vengeance (hyper-hybrid), Millennium Force (the world's first giga coaster), Maverick, and Top Thrill 2.
This park has too many roller coasters to describe all of them so I'm just going to touch on a few.
Here is their roller coaster line up:
Blue Streak – Wooden classic operating since 1964.
Cedar Creek Mine Ride – Family-style hybrid mine train coaster.
Corkscrew – Steel coaster featuring three inversions.
GateKeeper – Bolliger & Mabillard wing coaster taking riders over the park's main gate. This ride is simply amazing. Check out the video below and you will see why.
Gemini – Racing/dueling steel and wood hybrid structure.
Iron Dragon – Suspended swinging coaster over a lagoon.
Magnum XL-200 – Historic steel hyper coaster that first broke the 200-foot barrier.
Maverick – Fast launched steel coaster with tight turns and a 95-degree drop. 2 launches, great ride.
Millennium Force – Famous 310-foot giga coaster. It lives up to the hype.
Raptor – Intense inverted steel coaster with six inversions.
Rougarou – Floorless steel coaster (formerly Mantis).
Siren's Curse – Thrilling steel coaster added to the park lineup. (It was just being tested when we visited)
Steel Vengeance – Acclaimed hyper-hybrid wood-and-steel coaster loaded with airtime.
Top Thrill 2 – Reimagined record-breaking vertical-launch strata coaster.
Valravn – Towering B&M dive coaster with a holding drop.
Wild Mouse – Spinning family thrill coaster.
Wilderness Run – Junior kiddie coaster.
Woodstock Express – Family-friendly steel coaster.
The coasters here are amazing. Some of them are pretty common. Raptor is a fairly standard inverted steel coaster. The track layout differs between parks but the ride is similar enough. That doesn't mean they aren't good, just expected. There are too many coasters there to discuss all of them.

This ride has a unique feature. The trains are close enough that you can high five people in the other train. I wasn't aware of it before we rode but it was fun and unexpected.
