Cedar Point
Cedar Point has been on my radar for many years. it is a 364-acre amusement park situated on a narrow peninsula jutting into Lake Erie in Sandusky, Ohio. Opened in 1870, it is the second-oldest continuously operating amusement park in North America and widely celebrated among thrill-seekers as the "Roller Coaster Capital of the World." I can honestly say it rivals Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California. The park is famous for pushing engineering boundaries, featurin

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom
Earlier this year, I visited Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo with my wife and son. Initially, it was a zoo and marine park. Over time, they introduced rides, and most of the zoo and marine features were removed, although some still remain. Nowadays, the park is centered around thrill rides. My son and I loved the Batman roller coaster. It is a distinctive 4D free spin steel roller coaster that flips riders head-over-heels through a sequence of weightless, tumbling drops. Each ri

California's Great America
As a child, I often visited California's Great America in Santa Clara, California with my family, including my parents, brother, sister, aunt, uncle, and two cousins. It was there that I experienced my first looping coaster and lost my first tooth. I cherish the memories of riding The Demon with my cousin. A brief history of the park: Since its opening in 1976, the park has experienced several changes in ownership. Originally founded by Marriott Hotel, it was later acquired b

World Cup Adventures
I went to Monterrey, Mexico with my wife and son to see Japan play Tunisia in the World Cup. We stayed in an Airbnb near the stadium. The place was very modern and clean. My wife is from Monterrey, so we also spent time with family and friends. The energy of the crowd was amazing. Everyone was very friendly. I was surprised at the amount of support for the Japanese team. Many locals were wearing Japan jerseys. There were also lots of people who came from Japan to support th

Solvang 2026
We spent the night in Solvang on our way to Santa Clara. For years we have gone to Olsen's Danish Bakery and seen Paula's Pancake House next door with a huge line. This morning there was no line so we had to go. We had Danish Pancakes and Grilled Danish Sauage (Medisterpolse) Both were very good. We will definately try to eat here again! 1531 Mission Drive, Solvang, CA 93463 805-688-2867 https://www.paulaspancakehouse.com/ After our pancake breakfast we headed next door

Sage Creek in Idaho 2025
We caught 4 very small trout here, we returned them to the creek so they could grow up. There was too much brush along the banks and the trees formed a tight canopy making it impossible to cast here. For these we used a tenkara style rod with 10 feet of line. It worked great and we were able to float the bait past the waiting fish. We stayed on a small farm near Silverwood Amusement Park in Athol, Idaho. It was beautiful here, I would love to go back.

Dodgers vs Rangers at Dodger Stadium
The game was held on Sunday, April 12th, 2026. It was an excellent day to watch the Dodgers. There was a light sprinkle of rain at the start, but it soon cleared up. We had fantastic seats in the Club Level. It was my first time having such good seats at Dodger Stadium. Roki Sasaki was the starting pitcher. I'm eager to watch more of his performances. Shohei Otani was the first batter for the Dodgers. He hit a home run on the first pitch. Sadly, this was not indicative of t

Blue Ash Chili in Ohio
In June of 2025, my wife, son, and I were on vacation in Ohio. My wife checked the internet to see what foods Ohio is known for. The one that caught our attention was Cincinnati Chili. Cincinnati-style chili is characterized by a thin, meat-sauce consistency rather than a thick stew. It features a distinct Mediterranean-inspired spice blend—often including cinnamon and cocoa—and is typically served over spaghetti or hot dogs with large mounds of shredded cheddar cheese. Flavo

I love theme parks
I could talk about theme parks for hours. Some for the immersive environment. Some for the thrill rides. I love a good dark ride, there aren't many being built anymore. I used to love spinning rides but I can't take it anymore. My favorite rides are the roller coasters. So many types... wooden, giga, alpine, Euro-Fighter, mega, flying, suspended, wing, floorless, standing, the list goes on. I'll get into those another time. Here is a list of the theme parks I've been to
